Creative Arts Experience
The Creative Arts Experience (CAE) at Baylor is intended for the fine arts, specifically art, music, theatre, film, and literature, with the additional focus of these arts as seen through the lens of world cultures. The CAE requirement was originally conceived and promoted by the fine arts departments at Baylor as a more inclusive and meaningful way to engage students in the arts than in previously required fine arts courses.
Additionally, events sponsored for the CAE program are meant to encourage engagement specifically within the Baylor community, as an important extension of the liberal arts conversations that happen on campus and among Baylor faculty and students. The intent of the CAE program is not only to inspire students and to foster fine arts patronage, but also to involve students in the varied cultural life of the university through communal experience and enriching conversation.
